The Table

The Table is another restaurant with locally sourced ingredients. Their mission is to pay tribute to local farmers, ranchers and dairymen and honor the different cultures and people living in the valley. They also have indoor and patio dining available. Just a ten minute drive from campus, this restaurant is a great option for eating sustainably and supporting a local business. 




Santa Clara Farmers Market

Jackson Street, Santa Clara, CA 95050

Located on Jackson Street, the Santa Clara Farmers market is a great place to support a number of local businesses. It happens every Saturday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm and is just under a ten minute walk from Santa Clara University. There is live music and a range of vendors selling food, flowers and jewelry. Being so close to campus, the farmers market provides an easy way for students to locally support sustainability. 




Amour Vert

Just ten minutes by car is Santana Row, a bustling center with a number of shops and restaurants. One great shop is Amour Vert, a sustainable clothing store. This brand develops their own signature sustainable fabrics and has a personal resale marketplace called ReAmour. They have partnered with American Forests and for every T-shirt purchased, they plant a tree in North America.
