November 2021 Concerts

Finally, after a year of being tucked away in our humble abodes, we’ve returned to a somewhat normal state of being. During those months of isolation, many artists continued to make music and even found new ways to be creative in the comforts of their own homes. With the release of new albums and many smaller artists on the uprise, it is finally time to showcase all their quarantine work. Concerts are back and venues have reopened to the public. To no surprise, there is a long list of incredibly talented artists making their way to the Bay Area this month.

Kickstarting November right, Finneas and Marinelli are performing at The Fillmore Monday, November 1st. Finneas is famously known as Billie Elish’s brother. He writes and produces for many artists beyond Billie, but now it is his time to shine. This is only his second solo tour and many fans have been anticipating this tour for months now. Next on deck, we have Jawny, performing at The New Parish, a small venue in Oakland. His release of his 2019 single “Honeypie” was a huge hit that ultimately brought him to Interscope Records, and by January 2020, he was signed by the company.

Thursday, November 11th we have three big artists playing locally. The next stop on Harry Styles’s Love On Tour is in San Jose at the SAP Center. Considering the entirety of my Tik Tok “For You Page” now consists of clips of his concerts, I am particularly excited by this one. Playboy Carti is also performing that Thursday at the Bill Graham Civic Arena. Recently, they’ve had to tighten security for his concerts, so definitely buckle up for this one, things can get rowdy. Lastly, Binki is playing at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. This Pennsylvanian rapper is known for his fun-filled dance music that gives rap a whole new meaning.

That following Friday, DJ’s SG Lewis and MK are taking the stage. Maybe I am biased, but DJs are some of the best performers and make for the perfect night out with a group of friends. Saturday, November 13th, DJ Chris Lake is performing with Chris Lorenzo at the Midway. I argue Lake has some of the best electronic music out there, with hits like “Turn off the Lights” and “Boneless.” I guarantee this concert will be the boost of dopamine

we all needed. To close off the weekend, $uicideboy$ is playing outdoors at the Midway on Sunday the 14th

Fast forward, November 18th, LANY is playing at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. This pop band has had great success since they released albums “LANY” and “Malibu Nights.” Their indie-pop appeal has led them to discover various genres they are beginning to take on. I am sure most of you know the hit “The Show Goes On”... well Lupe Fiasco is playing the Warfield on Friday the 19th. Warfield is also hosting artist Joji on both Saturday 20th and Sunday the 21st. Most known for his single “Daylight” with Diplo. His music falls under R&B and is most known for his signature soulful melodies.

Our festival of the month is Audiotistic, a genre-blending festival with a long list of artists ranging from Tchami to Playboy Carti. Festivals are always a great opportunity to see some of your favorite artists while also discovering new ones as well. Audiotistic is scheduled on Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st at Shoreline Amphitheater. New York native SAINt Jhn is performing at the Warfield Friday the

26th. His hit remix “Roses” with Imanbek essentially took over everyone’s Tik Tok feed during covid. Beyond “Roses”, he has a plethora of songs he’s famous for.

To wrap up this month of musical performances, ILLENIUM is performing on November 28th at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. I saw him back in 2019 and all I can say is expect chaos. If loud music and strobe lights aren’t your things, maybe avoid this one.

Look out for these concerts and book your tickets before it’s too late. Cheers to being back!
